Free crisis counseling services are being offered to victims of the April 16 tornadoes. Teams of counselors from Alternative Care Treatment Systems will be working in each of the counties designated as disaster areas following the tornadoes.

New York States Medicaid Program Expands Coverage of Smoking Cessation Counseling
Recently the federal government announced that smoking cessation counseling will be covered by all Medicaid enrollees allowing for six counseling sessions during any 12 continuous months, provided on a face-to-face basis. The smoking cessation counseling will complement the use of prescription and non-prescription smoking cessation products, also covered by Medicaid.
